Often described as Central America's most diverse country, Guatemala offers landscapes and experiences that have captivated travelers for centuries. Guatemala is remarkable: a prospering indigenous culture, a devout faith, and impeccable historic preservation. Simply Venture helps you travel here with purpose: interact with locals, participate in their culture, and experience nature.
What You'll See: Active volcanoes, historic architecture, craft markets, a family coffee plantation, temples, the gorgeous Lake Atitlan, and the pristine Belize beaches.
What You'll Do: Serve the extremely impoverished community living around a municipal landfill in Escuintla, Guatemala. Exercise your Spanish with students at Light of the World School. Climb a volcano; zip line through the Guatemalan skies; experience Mayan culture through tours of historic buildings and temples; and interact with local Guatemalans. Culminate the trip by snorkeling off the famed shores of Belize and some relaxation on the white sand beaches.
