Where You'll Go: The "Land of Lakes & Volcanoes," Nicaragua. Time will be split between two areas. Serve in Managua, the capital city that is chaotic and broken, poetic and mesmerizing.Then, see why Granada is dripping with photogenic elegance: gorgeous architecture, churches, cobblestone streets and impeccable preservation.The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What You'll See: Peer into Volcan Masaya's impressive crater; zip line through lush jungle; relax at the world-class San Juan del Sur beaches; tour Lake Nicaragua and its 365 islands; and hike on Isla de Ometepe, where twin volcanic peaks rise up out of Lake Nicaragua.
Who You'll Serve: Volunteer with Love Light and Melody, a Denver-based nonprofit, which serves the population that lives in the Managua Dumps. Love on orphaned and abandoned infants at Children of Destiny.
Duration: 7 Days
Cost: Approximately $2,250/person
Includes: Airfare from Denver, all other transportation, activities, room and board
Deposit: $250 - due November 1, 2016 (non-refundable)
