The Black Hills region, located in western South Dakota, is a historically-rich area and the perfect stomping grounds for experiential education. Visit Mount Rushmore, an awe-inspiring carving of past presidents out of granite, and one of the most famous images in the nation. Dive into Native American history at Crazy Horse Memorial, the world’s largest monument. Explore the unique geology by visiting the Needles and Rushmore Cave. Get in touch with nature through hiking, swimming and environmental stewardship volunteerism.

This Black Hills experience pairs a truly stunning landscape with adventure, education and cultural immersion! Leaders focus on the unique geology of the Black Hills, the culture of the Lakota Sioux, the significance of the "Shrine of Democracy" and cultivating hearts of service. Sprinkle in some outdoor education and team building, and you have the recipe for a truly remarkable week of experiential education!
