Do you offer scholarships?
Simply Venture strives to offer need-based partial scholarships to students each year. As our business grows, we intend to increase our ability to offer scholarships and make our programs available to any student who is appropriate, regardless of tuition costs. Currently, Simply Venture reserves scholarships for our international experiences. To inquire about scholarship availability, just contact our office: go@simplyventure.net.

What is included in the trip price?
We address this on a trip-by-trip basis and aim to be very clear on the trip web site about what is and is not included in the total cost. Though generally speaking, your transportation (airfare, buses, etc), lodging, food, and any admission or activity fees are included in the trip price. Some expenses that are not included are airline baggage fees, passport application fees, meals at airports, souvenirs, vaccinations or medications, and trip insurance. When in doubt, please ask.

Can I get my deposit back?
No, deposits are non-refundable. Why? The reality is that we put a number of hours of putting together proposals, trip itineraries and communicating with groups and individuals. By registering for a trip, you commit to hiring our services for that experience and time frame.  Therefore, we must immediately make reservations on your behalf: transportation, lodging, additional leaders, guides, and activities. When you later cancel, we are not able to recover the money we've spent on reservation deposits, nor the numerous hours it took to do this on your behalf. Furthermore, it is oftentimes too late for us to replace your reservation with another individual or group, and this is a significant loss of income for our organization.

What is your cancellation policy?
Should your plans change after registering for one of Simply Venture's programs, you will be subject to our standard cancellation policy detailed below. Trip cancellation date is determined by date we receive written notice (email) of the request for cancellation.

  • Cancellation by you more than 90 days prior to participant's scheduled departure date - you will receive 60% refund on your total trip cost.
  • Cancellation by you between 89 and 45 days prior to participant's scheduled departure date - you will receive a 30% refund on your total trip cost.
  • Cancellation by you less than 45 days prior to participant's scheduled departure date - you will receive no refund.

The refund percentage listed above is based on your total trip cost.  If your account is not paid in full at time of cancellation, the amount you receive back (if applicable) will be calculated off of your total trip cost (excluding fees), not what has been paid. In some cases, this may mean that a refund will not be issued.
