Buckle up for an unforgettable educational venture to Buena Vista, Colorado! This heightened camp experience in Colorado’s Sawatch Mountain Range serves as an incredible introduction to experiential education.

Stay at Silver Cliff Ranch, which features both indoor and outdoor games abound! Pack your competitive spirit and be ready for some good, old-fashioned fun! Students will challenge themselves with hiking and high ropes course activities. And no mountain camp experience is complete without nightly campfires, sprinkled with reflection, dialogue, laughter and all the s’mores!

In addition to exposing students to the outdoors, this Ex Ed places a high emphasis on team building and honing skills that extend beyond the typical curriculum. Research shows that a positive emotional connection can better facilitate learning. Students will engage in an array of games and team building activities that will not only present different stimuli and sensory experiences, but also the opportunity to collaborate, communication and work with peers. These experiences work to build critical thinking, creativity, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Simply Venture intentionally builds space to engage in group dialogue and reflection to contemplate what was learned and enrich the educational experience.

COVID SAFETY MEASURES

  1. Anyone who has experienced symptoms and/or tested positive for COVID within 10 days of the trip will need to provide a negative COVID test to participate. Anyone who has experienced symptoms and/or tested positive for COVID within 5 days of the trip will not be permitted to participate, in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of others.

  2. Measures and restrictions will be updated based on the most recent CDC and State of Colorado recommendations.
