Step into the story of America with this unforgettable experiential education journey to Washington, D.C. — where history comes alive at every corner. From iconic monuments to insider Capitol access, students will explore the nation’s capital like never before. Here are some of each day’s itinerary highlights:

  • Kick off a week of historical discovery with an evening walk past the Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans and Korean War Memorials — a moving introduction to the city’s soul.

  • Tour the Capitol Visitor Center, peek into the stunning Library of Congress, and explore the National Archives. Then, choose between the Smithsonian’s Natural History or American History Museums, before taking in the WWII Memorial.

  • Honor the fallen at Arlington National Cemetery and Iwo Jima Memorial. Experience Ford’s Theatre and the Petersen House, then walk through “Daniel’s Story” at the Holocaust Museum.

  • Dive into another Smithsonian favorite (Air & Space or a student-choice museum), then spend the afternoon exploring Old Town Alexandria. Enjoy dinner and a spine-tingling Ghost & Graveyard Tour under the lantern-lit streets.

  • Wrap up the week with a photo stop at the MLK or Jefferson Memorial, then head home with memories to last a lifetime!
