Santa Barbara offers the perfect setting for students to experience the power of adventure, meaningful service, and authentic community. Surrounded by mountains, beaches, and the Pacific Ocean, this journey invites students to challenge themselves, serve others, and grow through experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.
Adventure and service are woven together throughout the week, creating opportunities for both personal growth and lasting impact. Students will push beyond their comfort zones as they climb, kayak through Santa Barbara Harbor, hike to scenic overlooks and waterfalls, explore hidden swimming holes, and enjoy the iconic beaches of California's Central Coast. Every challenge encourages resilience, confidence, teamwork, and a spirit of adventure.
Just as important, students will engage in meaningful service alongside local organizations that support individuals experiencing homelessness. Through partnerships with PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) and the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission, students will gain a deeper understanding of their community, build empathy through personal interactions, and discover how compassion and intentional action can make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Each day concludes with intentional reflection, team-building, and opportunities to grow in faith while staying together at Santa Barbara Christian Camp. Around campfires, during small group discussions, and through shared experiences, students will process what they've learned, strengthen relationships, and encourage one another as they grow together.
At Simply Venture, we believe experiential education happens when adventure and service come together with purposeful reflection. This Santa Barbara experience challenges students to explore boldly, serve wholeheartedly, and return home with greater confidence, deeper friendships, and a renewed perspective on how they can positively impact the world around them.
