CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

EVERGREEN COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
May 12-17, 2024

Kick off this epic experiential learning opportunity in Santa Barbara, or as some call it, the American Riviera. Under the warm California sun, fill your day with continuous adventures — hiking, kayaking, canyoning and beach games. Then, give back together. Serve and connect with the large homeless population of Santa Barbara through volunteering with a local nonprofit. In addition to team building and cultivating hearts of service, this volunteerism works to break down stereotypes of the homeless population.

Next, explore the world-renowned city of San Francisco! Visit the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Baker Beach, Lombard Street, Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. No trip to San Francisco is complete without a ride on a cable car through the city’s steep, rolling hills and a tasting of some signature sourdough bread.

Cap off this learning journey in Santa Cruz for two more quintessential California experiences! Hike the 40-acre grove of towering old-growth redwood trees in the famous Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Then, enjoy an afternoon at the legendary Santa Cruz Boardwalk, which has entertained guests with rides, games and fun for over 100 years.

The group will reside in camps located in the majestic coastal mountains, perfect for gathering nightly for intentional dialogue and community building. This educational opportunity works to build connectivity by learning, adventuring and serving together. We can't wait for this unforgettable time!

Duration: 6 Days
